Material: cotton
About the brand:
For our products, we use cotton from local farmers on Java. The cotton fields are naturally fertilized, and the cotton bolls are picked by hand. The cotton is then separated from the boll in a gin. The resulting cotton is pressed into bales, combed, and spun into yarn by hand. After the yarn has been spun in this way, it is processed by hand by artisans on traditional wooden looms. Cotton is characterized by its absorbency and skin-friendliness. Our cotton is not chemically processed and is therefore not suitable for tumble drying. The products should be ironed at low temperatures.
Production location:
This rug is handmade in Java, Indonesia.
When selecting our local producers, we prioritize fair pay and good working conditions. In the factories where we source our goods, we work exclusively with adult and experienced artisans. No harmful chemicals are used in the manufacturing process. Because all steps are done by hand, the production process causes virtually no greenhouse gas emissions. We ensure all of this through regular on-site visits and ongoing personal contact with the companies.
