Each blanket is woven on a traditional wooden loom using locally sourced cotton and handcrafted by skilled weavers with great attention to detail.

A minimalist woven zigzag pattern and long fringes give the blanket a pleasant lightness, so it can be used all year round, whether inside your home in winter or outside in summer. It is sure to become one of your favorite pieces and especially the combination with our pillows makes it pure boho!

Material: cotton

SOEJI uses cotton from local farmers in Java for its products. The cotton fields are naturally fertilized and the cotton bolls are picked by hand. The cotton is then separated from the boll in a ginning machine. The cotton obtained is pressed into bales, combed and spun into yarn by hand. After the yarn is spun in this way, the artisans process it by hand on traditional wooden looms. Cotton is characterized by its absorbency and skin-friendliness. Our cotton is not chemically treated and is therefore not suitable for tumble drying. The products should be ironed at low temperatures.

This blanket is handmade in Java, Indonesia.
When selecting local producers, Soeji attaches great importance to fair pay and good working conditions. In the factories where they source their goods, they only work with adult and experienced artisans. No harmful chemicals are used in the manufacturing process. Since all work steps are carried out by hand, the production process causes hardly any greenhouse gas emissions. Soeji ensures all of this through regular on-site visits and permanent personal contact with the companies.
